Info:

The reputation of Brazilian coffee has experienced its ups and downs over the years. While it’s true that they’re the number one exporter of coffee in terms of volume worldwide, the attention to quality in the cup, especially among the small-yet-growing specialty coffee sector, has left something to be desired.

Eastlick Coffee has offered Brazilian coffee since our founding, a cornerstone origin of our mission to “specialize in sourcing specialty coffees with an eye toward unique flavor profiles that both challenge and comfort a wide spectrum of coffee drinkers.” Finding and buying Brazilian coffee is easy, but sourcing and roasting high-quality Brazilian coffee is a more difficult task.

We return this year with an offering from the famed Denomination of Origin Cerrado Mineiro region, a mid-elevation savannah biome that produces some of the best coffees in all of Brazil. The Corsi brothers were born in this region, their parents having migrated north after losing their coffee farm to a devastating frost in the late 1970s. Recognizing the unique micro-climate and the need to step away from the family business of commercial coffee, the brothers began experimenting with specialty production just over five years ago, in which they apply best-practices to soil and water management, as well as attentive and unique fermentation protocols.

The result is a flavor distinction in the cup – a big-flavored sip of cherry and fudge with a lingering candied almond aftertaste. Let us convince you, once again, that Brazil is an origin of quality and intention!
